The conference to announce the decision to audit the management and use of public finance and public assets in 2024 at the Public Security of 4 localities: Da Nang, Hue, Quang Tri and Quang Ngai was recently held in Da Nang City. Comrade Tran Khanh Hoa - Chief Auditor of the State Audit Office of Sector Ib chaired the Conference.
Attending the conference were Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dai Dong - Deputy Director in charge of the City Police. Da Nang, Colonel Hoang Van Thanh - Deputy Director of Hue City Police; Colonel Tran Van Manh - Deputy Director of Quang Ngai Provincial Police; Colonel Le Phuong Nam - Deputy Director of Quang Tri Police Department; representatives of departments and units of 4 police provincial and city police and members of the audit team.
According to Decision No. 679/QD-KTNN dated May 9, 2025 of the State Audit General, the Ib-specialized State Audit will conduct audits of the management and use of public finance and public assets in 2024 at 9 provincial and municipal police agencies including: Da Nang, Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Lam Dong, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.
The audit content focuses on the preparation, allocation and implementation of budget estimates; revenue and expenditure management; use of public assets; collected activities; capital and costs of basic construction investment; at the same time, assess the level of compliance with laws, financial - accounting policies and regulations related to construction investment.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Khanh Hoa requested the audit teams to implement on schedule, closely follow the approved audit plan and program, and ensure absolute confidentiality throughout the entire implementation process.
According to Mr. Hoa, this audit will focus on assessing the effectiveness of practicing thrift and preventing waste in the use of public assets. In addition, the audit time will be shortened to facilitate local police units in the stage of arranging and merging administrative units according to the general policy.
At the conference, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dai Dong highly appreciated the role of auditing in helping units review and promptly overcome shortcomings, thereby improving the quality of internal management. At the same time, he hopes to continue to receive professional support from the State Audit to improve the efficiency in the use of public resources.
Mr. Dong also directed the units under the Da Nang City Police to seriously coordinate, proactively provide complete data as requested by the audit team and boldly discuss difficulties and problems arising in practice.
On the morning of May 13, at the headquarters of Ninh Thuan Police Department, with the authorization of the auditor of the IB Specialized Audit, Deputy Head of the Head of the Specialist Auditor of IB Hoang Van Sy - Head of Auditing Delegation under Decision No. 679/QD -KTNN - chaired the Conference to announce the Audit Decision at the Police Department of 5 provinces, Lam Dong, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan.
According to the plan, the audit period will last from May 12 to June 30, 2025.
