Without fireworks, there was no party, only the sound of busy engine and quietness dedication between the great construction site were scattered.
Mr. Lo Van Phong (32 years old, from Dien Bien province) and his wife worked through the ceremony without any hesitation.
I am nearly 700 kilometers away from home, making roads is a livelihood, but it is also a source of pride to contribute to the country's major projects. Each completed meter of road is an additional contribution. My wife and I encourage each other: every year there are holidays, but the opportunity to do things on schedule does not always come" - Mr. Phong shared.
Not only Mr. Phong and his wife, there are hundreds of other workers on the route such as Mr. Nguyen Van Binh - from Ha Tinh, who is in charge of installing the bridge's steel piles.
"We divided our shifts into three teams, working day and night. The brothers encouraged each other: there are holidays every year, but if the progress is delayed, it will affect the overall plan. Everyone is proud to be a part of a large project - Mr. Binh confided.

A construction team leader added: "Many brothers put aside their vacation with their wives to stay at the construction site. Some father and mother have young children in the countryside, and only dare to call in the flash. But everyone is united for the common goal".
Here, not only the reinforced concrete blocks are cast every day, but also the silent sacrifices, where workers use the sound of machines as a rhythm of the festival, making the project a joy.
Speed up the progress of the expressway
Project Management Board 6 said that the North-South expressway component project, Vung Ang - Bung section, is entering the final stage, with a total construction output of nearly 90%. A representative of Project Management Board 6 said that during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, contractors will still maintain 40 construction teams with more than 1,260 workers and 620 machines and equipment operating continuously at the construction site.
In particular, to keep up with the progress of the route opening in mid-2025, the Management Board has requested units to maximize favorable weather conditions, organize 3 shifts/day, without holidays. Hundreds of workers are supported with accommodation, labor safety and welfare, creating conditions to work away from home with peace of mind.

In major packages such as XL01 and XL02, many items such as roadbed, bridge, underpass for people, and Deo But tunnel have all reached a progress of over 90%. Some key items such as tunnel digging, bridge girders, crushed stone aggregate, culverts and road surface concrete have been basically completed.
The project promises to create a breakthrough in infrastructure for the North Central region when it is expected to be completed by the end of June 2025.
