On September 10, reporters were present at a number of streets in the old Vinh City (Nghe An). According to records, after storm No. 5, many roads still have garbage and tree branches piled up on the roadside.
Typically, Dao Tan, Van Cao, Nguyen Sy Sach, Phan Cong Tich, Duy Tan, Tue Tinh streets... still have the situation of branches and leaves being cut down after storm No. 5 gathering into piles.

Not only that, in many locations, some people lack awareness and throw away more household waste, causing loss of urban aesthetics and environmental pollution. Worryingly, in some places, due to long-standing garbage, people have chosen to burn garbage right on the road, posing a potential risk of fire and explosion.
In addition, garbage is gathered directly on the road and sidewalk, narrowing the traffic area, causing unsafety for people and vehicles.
Talking to reporters, the leader of Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company said: After storm No. 5, about 40,000 tons of waste were green branches, caused by more than 33,000 broken trees in the 6 wards of the old Vinh.

In addition, about 400 tons of household waste must be cleaned up every day. Meanwhile, the old Vinh area (including Cua Lo) is very large and scattered.
As soon as the storm passed (8.26), the company urgently deployed the collection. At the peak, the unit mobilized 600 human resources, along with more than 200 vehicles, including 100 motorbikes of the company, hired 60 vehicles, along with 40 vehicles and human resources to support from businesses and People's Committees of wards.
By September 1, garbage from tree branches on some major roads had been basically cleaned up. However, in small routes and deep inner areas, the situation of backlog has not been thoroughly handled.

In some locations, after the branches were cleaned, people gathered more branches and leaves.
Ms. Pham Thi Lien (born in 1992) - a worker at Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company - shared: "After the storm, we worked continuously, very hard. However, due to the large amount of waste, it was impossible to clean it up in a short time".
After the storm, 100% of the company's staff and workers worked hard and urgently to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. During the work, there were workers who were exhausted, fainted, and had to cross the water. However, due to the large amount of green waste, it has not been completely fixed. We will continue to clean up to restore the clean and beautiful environment as at first, hoping to receive the sharing of the community, said Mr. Nguyen Chi Thong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company.
