On the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, vehicle control is being implemented in the direction of "tightening from the root", starting right at intersections and exits instead of just focusing on handling on the main route.
On April 8, in the area of the QL2 intersection - access to the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, Road Traffic Police Team No. 15 (CSGT) - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police coordinated with Noi Bai Commune Police to organize patrols and set up checkpoints.
Here, functional forces focus on handling cases of illegal stopping and parking, and at the same time remind drivers to comply with regulations before entering the expressway.

Not only stopping at checking papers, functional forces also review vehicle technical conditions, especially for trucks and passenger cars; check weight, and shielding of goods. Cases of carrying goods not in accordance with regulations are strictly handled.
Along with that, the situation of people gathering to pick up cars and send goods at the highway entrance area is also reminded to reduce the risk of unsafety.
During the working shift, the task force discovered a case of a passenger car carrying goods in the passenger compartment.
Lieutenant Colonel Dang Hong Giang - Head of Road Traffic Police Team No. 15 said that intersections are identified as key points to prevent violations and accidents. Therefore, the unit coordinates with local police to strictly control right from the branch line, not allowing risk factors to enter the expressway.

Meanwhile, on the main route of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, Team 1, Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance Department - Traffic Police Department maintains mobile patrols combined with establishing checkpoints.
The violations that are focused on handling are acts that easily lead to accidents such as speeding, changing lanes without signaling, going into emergency lanes or stopping and parking in violation of regulations. Many violations are detected through surveillance camera systems and professional equipment, then vehicles are stopped for inspection and immediate handling.

According to the assessment of functional forces, the coordination between units from branch lines to main lines, combining direct patrols and technology monitoring, is showing clear effectiveness.
This approach not only helps detect violations early but also contributes to maintaining safety and smooth traffic for the entire Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.
