At 2:06 a.m. on February 17, Ngo Quyen District Police received information from Center 114 of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH) about a fire at a residential house at 10/450 Le Thanh Tong, Gia Vien Ward, Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong. There were 4 people trapped inside the fire...
At the scene, through reconnaissance, the fire fighting force discovered 4 people trapped on the 2nd floor of a 3-storey house with an area of about 60 m2. The fire was developing on the first floor, emitting a lot of toxic smoke and gas.
Ngo Quyen District Police deployed a second ladder formation to guide 3 people to the safe area; and a 94-year-old woman who could not move on her own, the unit sent someone to carry her up the ladder to the safe area, and at the same time contacted the District Medical Center for health check-ups. Immediately afterwards, the District Police continued to deploy the 2-escalator B formation to organize fire fighting. By 2:26 a.m. the same day, the fire was extinguished. The unit continued to spray water to cool down, and by 3am the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.
Currently, Ngo Quyen District Police are investigating the cause of the fire according to regulations.
