Da Nang - On October 24, the City People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 03/CD-UBND on responding to storms near the East Sea (Storm Tra Mi).

To proactively respond to storms near the East Sea, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested heads of armed forces units, departments, branches, Chairmen of District People's Committees and related units to proactively organize close monitoring of forecast information and developments of possible natural disasters.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the City Border Guard Command to urgently notify all owners of vehicles and boats still operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement, developments and dangerous areas of the storm so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not enter dangerous areas, urgently go ashore, find safe shelter, and pay attention to vehicles operating at sea.

Organize the counting, strictly manage and maintain communication with vessels still operating at sea; focus on guiding and urging fishing vessels to immediately leave dangerous areas; regularly report the situation of vessels to the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of the city.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Da Nang Maritime Port Authority to inspect and review anchoring to ensure safety for cargo ships and transport ships when anchoring in Da Nang Bay.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment shall preside over and coordinate with relevant localities and units to direct the implementation of plans to prevent and combat landslides in the city; and be ready to implement plans to clean up the environment after heavy rains.
