The People's Committee of Da Nang City organized the "Quang Trung campaign" to repair and rebuild houses for people who suffered heavy damage due to landslides during the recent floods.

According to statistics, the whole city has 413 houses subject to support, including 121 completely collapsed houses, 116 houses damaged over 70% and 176 houses damaged from 5070%.
In mountainous communes, many socialized resources are ready to participate in support, but the transportation of materials is difficult because many routes are not yet open, some households have lost all their old land, so they cannot arrange a location for reconstruction.
Faced with this reality, the People's Committees of localities proposed that the city soon issue a mechanism to arrange residents, build embankments to prevent landslides and invest in resettlement areas for people to stabilize long-term.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Pham Duc An requested that the repair and construction of houses must ensure safety and sustainability, avoiding the deterioration of the project after only a few years.
At locations where construction cannot be done, localities must immediately arrange temporary housing plans for people, not leaving people in unsafe areas.
The city leaders assigned departments and branches to provide technical guidance on construction, support investment procedures for the commune level; send staff to survey and select suitable resettlement locations.
The city agreed to take advantage of on-site materials such as sand and gravel to shorten transportation time, similar to the model currently applied at six inter-level boarding schools that have just started construction in mountainous areas.
Localities must closely follow the grassroots, mobilize people's participation in the process of restoring houses; at the same time, strictly manage the use of support sources to avoid wrong purposes.
Currently, the People's Committee of Da Nang City has assigned detailed plans to each commune and household and requested drastic implementation. Police and military forces are mobilized to support human resources and means.
The general goal is to complete the repair of all damaged houses before December 31 and complete the construction of new houses for cases of complete collapse before January 31, 2026.
