On May 10, the People's Committee of Da Nang City established a working group to specialize in researching investment in the urban railway line connecting Da Nang and Quang Nam. This working group is led by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Quang Nam, Deputy Head of the Department of Construction Nguyen Ha Nam, with the participation of leaders of relevant departments, branches, and the Management Board of priority infrastructure investment projects.
The main task of the working group is to research and propose Da Nang People's Committee on guidelines, orientations, mechanisms, policies and overall solutions for the Da Nang - Quang Nam urban railway project. In particular, the working group will determine the scope of research, select preliminary plans, field surveys, collect information and coordinate with the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province to ensure effective connection between the two localities.
The working group will also evaluate the socio-economic efficiency, economic - technical feasibility, environmental impact, sustainability and suitability of the project with the socio-economic development plan, urban planning of Da Nang, as well as regional planning.
Along with the establishment of an urban railway research working group, the People's Committee of Da Nang City also established a working group to research ideas for sea encroachment in Da Nang Bay, headed by Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh.
