Within the framework of the event, Dong A University presented 10 support packages, each worth 1 million VND, to the families of martyrs who died on Gac Ma Island.
Attending the ceremony, many students of Dong A University expressed their deep gratitude and respectfully offered incense to pay tribute to the 64 soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy who heroically fell for the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
This is the 12th consecutive year that Dong A University has accompanied a series of meaningful activities to thank Gac Ma. This event is not only an occasion to commemorate a historical milestone but also a reminder of the Fatherland's loyalty and determination to protect every piece of land and sea of the Fatherland. The Board of Directors of Dong A University kindly visited, encouraged and presented gifts of gratitude to the families of martyr arrested by the Japanese President.
The support packages were given to the families of martyrs who died on Gac Ma Island in Da Nang and Quang Nam, including the families of martyrs Nguyen Huu Loc, Truong Quoc Hung, Phan Van Su, Nguyen Phu Doan, Le Van Xanh, Tran Manh Viet, Pham Van Loi, Tran Tai, Le The and Nguyen Ba Cuong.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang - student majoring in Multimedia Communications at Dong A University - shared her feelings of honor and pride at attending the incense offering ceremony to pay tribute to Gac Ma. For Thuy Trang, this is the first time you have directly witnessed and participated in this meaningful event.
The learning and maturity journey of each student today always brings pride in the imitable circle of the Galaxy Ma - an image of traditional educational responsibility for the community and the country, while also fostering gratitude, being more determined in studying, working and living more responsibly, Thuy Trang said emotionally.
Dong A University is a pioneer in accompanying activities towards the sea and islands, demonstrated through many practical actions such as supporting the program "Tam Thanh Tinh Su for Truong Sa and Hoang Sa fishermen", donating to support the enforcement force to protect the sovereignty of the East Sea, presenting the national flag to fishermen who stick to the sea, participating in the exhibition on the sovereignty of Hoang Sa - Truong Sa, supporting fishermen's families in distress, relatives of martyrs Gac Ma, martyrs of Hoang Sa, and organizing propaganda activities about the sea and islands.
