On the morning of February 27, Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong Province Ngo Thanh Danh visited the bauxite mining and processing area in Dak Nong 2 cluster, Quang Son commune, Dak G'long district (Dak Nong).
This is one of 4 clusters planned for bauxite exploitation and processing in Dak Nong. According to the plan, this cluster has an Alumin factory, with a total area of 24,000 hectares. The total mobilized reserve is nearly 100 million tons, with an expected exploitation period of over 30 years.
Currently, Viet Phuong Group Joint Stock Company is proposing to build an Alumina Factory complex, with a total area of 441.7 hectares. The plant's planned capacity is 1-2 million tons/year. The total investment is over VND 21,000 billion.
At this field meeting, directors of the departments: Industry and Trade; Planning and Investment; Natural Resources and Environment; Dak G'long District People's Committee reported on the project implementation status. At the same time, leaders of local departments and authorities affirmed coordination
Through the field meeting, Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong Province Ngo Thanh Danh assessed that the project was basically very favorable. The rest is the units participating in the implementation.
Dak Nong Provincial Party Secretary Ngo Thanh Danh directed the provincial, district, commune authorities and related departments to take action right now.
For Dak Nong 2 cluster, the Provincial Party Secretary requested to be determined and resolute in granting policies for the plant to start construction before April 30, 2025.
This is meaningful in creating a premise and basis for granting policies for the next clusters.
