Improve people's lives
In the process of building new rural areas, many rural areas in Dak R'lap district have constantly "changed their skin and flesh". From afar, the central locations of the communes of Nhan Co, Dao Nghia, Nghia Thang, Quang Tin, Dak Ru... look no different from bustling urban areas.
Dak Wer Commune (Dak R'lap District) is the first locality in Dak Nong Province to achieve the title of advanced new rural commune. This is the result of the tireless efforts of the government, Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in the commune.
According to the Dak Wer Commune People's Committee, agriculture is the main source of income for about 80% of the local population. Statistics show that the commune currently has nearly 3,800 hectares of agricultural land.
Therefore, right from the beginning of the new rural construction, Dak Wer commune determined to focus on developing the agricultural sector in depth and sustainably to increase economic efficiency and raise people's income.
Currently, the commune has sustainable chains of pepper, coffee, and durian linked with growing area codes and traceability.

Mr. Vo Ngoc Anh, Acting Chairman of Dak Wer Commune People's Committee, said that the most obvious change in the locality is the upgraded and newly built concrete roads, which are very convenient for people to trade and travel.
On both sides of the roads, people also plant flowers and ornamental plants to create a green, clean and beautiful landscape.

In particular, poor and near-poor households have access to preferential policies such as: Support for crossbred cows for breeding, fertilizers for crop care, preferential loans from the Social Policy Bank...
"Currently, all poor and near-poor households have had their temporary houses and dilapidated thatched houses removed, and their lives have improved significantly..." - Mr. Vo Ngoc Anh happily added.

According to Mr. Tran Cong Dung - Permanent Vice Chairman of Dak R'lap District People's Committee, right from the start of building new rural areas, the locality has always determined the main goal to focus on developing infrastructure, focusing on economic restructuring and reasonable forms of production organization.

According to Mr. Dung, after 13 years of implementing the National Target Program on Rural Construction for the period 2011 - 2024, Dak R'Lap district has achieved many encouraging results.
Up to now, the rural appearance of the communes has changed a lot in the direction of modernization but has not lost the local ethnic identity.
Infrastructure systems such as roads, electricity, schools, markets, cultural facilities, residential housing... are invested in and increasingly improved and modernized to meet the needs of people's lives.
"The material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved, the economy is increasingly developed, culture and society are increasingly enhanced, the socio-political system is maintained" - the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak R'lap district affirmed.
In 2011, when the new rural construction began, on average, each commune in the district only met 4.3 criteria/commune. Technical infrastructure was both lacking and unsynchronized, and the material and spiritual life of the people still faced many difficulties.
