The Ooc Om Boc - Ngo Boat Race Festival in Can Tho City in 2025 is a typical cultural event of the Khmer people in the South, strongly expressing traditional identity and the spirit of community solidarity. In 2024, in just 2 days of the Ngo Boat Race, the festival's highlight activity attracted about 200,000 visitors, an increase of 30% compared to 2023. This year, the festival takes place from November 3 to 5 with many exciting cultural and sports activities.
To ensure absolute security and safety for the festival, Can Tho City Police have synchronously deployed solutions, focusing on grasping the situation, preventing and fighting crimes; ensuring traffic safety and order, fire prevention and fighting, rescue; controlling network security, public order and managing residence. Closely coordinate with relevant forces and units to develop a cooperation plan, ready to handle arising situations.
