On March 4, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province issued a press release regarding the construction of 2 nuclear power projects in the area.
The Ninh Thuan nuclear power project is one of the nationalally particularly important projects. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has directed Ninh Thuan province to quickly deploy site clearance and resettlement work to complete the site handover by 2025.
The goal is to complete the investment and construction before December 31, 2030, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party and the 85th anniversary of the founding of the country.
To ensure progress and optimize economic, environmental and technical factors, the National Assembly has passed Resolution No. 189 of 2025 stipulating a number of special policies and mechanisms on compensation, support and resettlement when the State reclaims land.
This is to support Ninh Thuan province and investors in implementing the project effectively.
Ninh Thuan provincial leaders assessed that the locality not only plays an important role in implementing the Project but also becomes a pioneer in applying clean energy technologies.
The provincial government is committed to accompanying investors, creating favorable conditions to speed up the project's progress. Special support policies, such as shortened administrative procedures, have also been implemented, making it easier for construction units and investors to take the next steps.
In particular, compensation, resettlement, and ensuring social security for people in the project area will be focused on. The Ninh Thuan provincial government has had specific plans and clear implementation roadmaps to protect the rights of the people, while helping them participate in the overall development process of the locality.
The consensus and support of local people play a decisive role in ensuring the success of the project. People are not only the beneficiaries of the economic and social benefits of the project but also participate in supervising and contributing opinions to make the project implemented smoothly.
