The project to renovate and upgrade the road connecting Provincial Road 325B, connecting Ho Chi Minh road to Ngoc Thap bridge and the rescue route - with a total investment of 300 billion VND is invested by the Phu Tho Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board.
This project was started on November 25, 2022, renovating and upgrading a 7.96km long road, including 2 sections: The 3.96km inner-city section through Phong Chau ward (Ha Thach commune, old Phu Tho town), the 4km inner-city section through Xuan Lung commune (Xuan Lung commune and Tien Kien commune, old Lam Thao district).

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the 4km long urban section in Phong Chau Ward has been basically completed. In particular, with the renovated and upgraded sections of the road, people have always traveled normally. However, about 1km of newly built roads are still completely blocked at both ends of the route, making it impossible for traffic.
This 1km section has been newly built, spacious and goes straight through the fields, ponds and gardens of the people. When put into use, it will be like a road avoiding the central area of the old Ha Thach commune (now Phong Chau ward), helping to shorten the travel distance, reducing the load on the provincial road 325B through the center of the old Ha Thach commune, which is often crowded with vehicles and has appeared in a state of degradation.

According to local people, the new road section mentioned above has been paved with asphalt since the beginning of 2024, and for a short time, people have been able to travel. However, after that, the road was fenced off with a hard fence, banning all vehicles until now. Therefore, all vehicles travel along provincial road 325B, the main axis through the center of the old Ha Thach commune.
After the collapse of Phong Chau bridge on September 9, 2024, many large trucks and tractors passed through Ngoc Thap bridge ( north across the Red River) and traveled on the provincial road 325 through the old Ha Thach commune, causing this road to deteriorate and damage quickly.

Mr. Vu Dinh Thinh - a resident of the Ngoc Thap bridge resettlement area, Phong Chau ward - shared: "For more than a year since Phong Chau bridge collapsed, there have been many large trucks traveling, causing the road to break down very quickly, with more and more potholes... Now, the new Phong Chau bridge has been opened to traffic, but the road is still very crowded. People hope that the new road section avoiding the central area of the old Ha Thach commune will soon open a fence so that people can travel, the fence at both ends of the road has been set up for more than a year now".
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Dinh Xuan Thang - Vice Chairman of Phong Chau Ward People's Committee - said that recently, the local government has received feedback from the people about the deterioration of provincial road 335B, as well as the hope that the new road avoiding the center of the old Ha Thach commune will soon be handed over and put into use.

"Phong Chau Ward will continue to discuss with the project investor (Phu Tho Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board), trying to put the project into operation soon, meeting the people's expectations" - Mr. Thang shared.
According to a leader of the Phu Tho Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the about 1km long road section through the old Ha Thach commune (which is currently being blocked to prohibit vehicles from traveling) is a completely newly built road section, currently in the process of traffic safety inspection. The unit strives to hand over and exploit the project by the end of this year.
