On May 23, according to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Investment and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 126 is repairing the old Garbage Bridge (the unit located on the right side of National Highway 1 in the South - North direction) in Cam Trung Commune, Cam Xuyen District.
During the construction process, the contractor completely divided the old Trash Bridge, and at the same time placed a soft median strip to divide the new Trash Bridge (located on the left side in the South - North direction) into 2 lanes for vehicles to pass.


A representative of the Project Management Board said that the construction measures for damaged expansion joints will be eliminated and a new expansion joints will be replaced.
Damaged concrete beams will be chiseled, replaced and added horizontal beams to increase links for the bridge. The wooden planks under the abutment to reduce shock vibration are also removed to build the concrete layer covering the new girder.

The bridge surface has also been scraped and re-paved with a new 7cm thick layer of asphalt concrete to ensure safety and smooth traffic when traveling here.
The project to repair the old Garbage Bridge has a total investment of 3.3 billion VND, of which the construction value is 2.95 billion VND, invested by Road Management Area II (Vietnam Road Administration).
126 Investment and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company is the construction unit. The project implementation period is within 3 months, from April 17 to July 16.
Because the old Garbage Bridge is located on National Highway 1 with a large number of vehicles, the investor and the construction unit set a goal of focusing on speeding up the construction progress as quickly as possible, while paying special attention to ensuring safety during the construction process.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported the damage and deterioration of the old Garbage Bridge, so the road management unit had to use many planks under the southern part of the bridge with broken concrete in the girder to reduce shock and avoid widespread damage.
