Accordingly, the People's Committee of Ngoc Hoi district has directed the People's Committee of Dak Nong commune to urgently review and identify the cases of damage caused by heavy rain and lightning struck on April 14 to submit to the District People's Committee for consideration and support in accordance with the State's regulations.
In the immediate future, the local government has organized a visit, encouraged and initial support for families affected by natural disasters, especially poor, near -poor or extremely difficult circumstances.
Along with that, the authorities strengthened propaganda and guidance to people to take measures to prevent and combat natural disasters as recommended by the Ministry of Construction.
It is known that the people of Dak Nong commune mainly live on agriculture. Recently, the weather situation in the area is erratic, with many extreme phenomena such as thunderstorms, thunder, hail and tornadoes, greatly affecting the production and threat of the people's safety.
Earlier, the Lao Dong newspaper reported that, at about 15:00 pm on April 14, a group of 7 people in Ta Pok village (Dak Nong commune) was working in the field in Dak Ang commune (Ngoc Hoi district), and heavy rain with thunderstorms and hail.
This group of people ran into a nearby hut to shelter the rain. Suddenly, a lightning struck hit the hut, causing Ms. Y Dang to die on the spot and the remaining 6 were injured.
Immediately after the incident, the victims were taken to Ngoc Hoi Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment.
