Accordingly, Hanoi City proposed to start the investment project to build Tu Lien Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge on May 19 on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.
The investment projects to build Tran Hung Dao Bridge, Ngoc Hoi Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge are proposed to start construction on August 19 - September 2.
The City People's Committee commits to directing relevant agencies to balance and allocate sufficient resources to implement the above 3 projects to ensure technical, aesthetic, construction quality, investment efficiency and required progress, while saving construction time and implementation costs.
According to the Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, with an important political significance and development of key transport infrastructure, socio -economic development, ensuring the growth goal of the whole country and the city, the early implementation of investment in building 3 investment projects to build a large bridge over the Red River (Tu Lien Bridge and the two ends of the bridge, Tran Hung Dao Bridge, Ngoc Hoi Bridge and the two -end roads) are very urgent.
These projects help ensure the synchronization of projects being implemented such as: The road axis from Gia Binh airport (Bac Ninh) - Tu Lien bridge and Ba Dinh political center; completing the closed Ring Road 3.5 of Hanoi City is being implemented to connect with Van Giang district, Hung Yen province and increasing inter-regional traffic connectivity, connecting the center of Hanoi City with the North, Northeast of the Red River, Thai Nguyen province, Hung Yen province.
The three bridge projects also contribute to expanding the planning space to the South of the Red River, overcoming traffic congestion, and relieving traffic pressure on the overloaded Red River overpasses such as: Thang Long, Nhat Tan, Long Bien, Vinh Tuy bridges...
Tu Lien Bridge across the Red River, when completed, will solve an important traffic bottleneck to connect the center of Hanoi with the National Exhibition Center (expected to be completed in 2025) and is also a part of the overall project of the entire route connecting Gia Binh Airport, Bac Ninh Province with Hanoi Capital.
Tran Hung Dao Bridge
Tran Hung Dao Bridge has a total length of about 5.6km. The starting point is at the Tran Hung Dao - Tran Thanh Tong intersection in Hoan Kiem district. The end point connects with Vu Duc Than street, Long Bien district.
The total investment of the project is more than 15,967 billion VND. The project implementation period is in the period of 2025-2027.
Ngoc Hoi Bridge
The total length of Ngoc Hoi bridge and the two ends of the bridge is about 7.5km. In particular, the main bridge length and bridge lead 7.2km, 33m wide. The head of the bridge on Hung Yen is about 300m long and 60m wide.
The starting point of the investment project is in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi (connecting with the end point of the Ring Road 3.5 project from Phuc La, Van Phu to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway, about 360m from Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway towards Huu Hong dike).
The end point is in Van Giang district, Hung Yen province (Km7+500) connecting with Ring Road 3.5 in Van Giang district, Hung Yen province, 700m from the Ta Hong dike towards the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway.
The total investment of the project is 11,844 billion VND. The implementation period is in the period of 2025-2030.
Tu Lien Bridge
Investing in the construction of Tu Lien Bridge and the two ends of the bridge from the intersection with Nghi Tam road to the intersection with Truong Sa street with a total length of about 5.15km. The first point connected to Nghi Tam Street, Tay Ho District, the end point through the intersection with Truong Sa street.
The total preliminary investment of the project is VND 20,171 billion. The project will be implemented in the period of 2025 - 2027.
