At the meeting, the two agencies agreed on the necessity of investing in the construction of a connecting road connecting Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang provinces (from Km11+500, DT.261 to the border of Tuyen Quang province), connecting with the Thai Nguyen - Tuyen Quang - Yen Bai route.
The route connecting the two provinces is expected to be designed according to the standards of a level II road, with 4 lanes, a design speed of 100km/h, and a roadbed width of 22.5m.
The route will continue the connecting road project, connecting the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang and Vinh Phuc in Ky Phu commune, Dai Tu district (Km11+500, route DT.261) and end at Khe Pass area bordering the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen.
The project investment helps create momentum to promote the socio-economic development of the two localities. At the same time, strengthen regional linkages, reduce travel time in both directions from Tuyen Quang to Thai Nguyen, to Hai Phong, Lang Son, and Quang Ninh provinces.
After the working session, the Department of Construction of Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang agreed to proactively report to the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committees of the two provinces, agree on the plan, connection location and include it in the public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period to implement the project.
