On April 2, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long chaired an online conference with 22 provinces to assess the progress of relocation of power grid works affected by important national projects, especially in the transport sector.
At the Cao Bang bridge point, leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, Cao Bang Power Company and related units attended.
Currently, Cao Bang province is implementing the Dong Dang (Lang Son) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang) expressway project, with a total length of 121.06km, of which the section through Lang Son is about 52km, Cao Bang is about 69.06km.
To serve the project, the province has relocated 24 locations of 110kV power poles (adding 2 additional locations), expected to be completed in April 2025.
The power outage schedule is expected to start from April 10, and the two generated locations will be completed in May 2025. This relocation does not affect the construction progress, while ensuring a clearance for the route to be exploited later.
In addition, 91 35kV pole locations, including 31 locations arising from expanding the clearance boundary, are being relocated. 175 locations of 0.4kV poles have been temporarily relocated to serve the construction.
Due to its specific characteristics, the expressway project spans through many mountainous areas, cutting through medium and low voltage power lines. Pulling up the wire requires waiting for the power outage schedule from the local Power Company and hydropower plants, affecting the progress of relocating the power grid and constructing the highway.
Cao Bang province is proposing that the Northern Power Corporation create conditions for negotiating technical plans for the locations of pillars and routes that need to be adjusted; at the same time, requesting the Northern Power System Control Center (A1) and the Power Companies of Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces to support temporary power outage procedures to speed up relocation progress.
