Rain and cold spells in December in the South

HẠ MÂY |

The rainy season ended in the first half of November, however in December there were still widespread unseasonal rains lasting a few days.

In the first week of December, the cold air will strengthen weakly and shift to the East on December 2, and the next strengthening wave will be strong on December 7.

The low pressure trough has an axis at about 4-7 degrees North latitude, from December 2-7 it will slightly lift its axis to the North with the possibility of connecting with a low pressure area in the South East Sea. Above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis over the Central region will operate with relatively stable intensity.

The weather in the region from December 2-7 is likely to have scattered rain with some places having moderate rain, locally heavy rain. The highest temperature is 30-33 degrees Celsius, the lowest is 21-25 degrees Celsius, in the North East 20-21 degrees Celsius.

From December 8-10, the Southern region will have no rain or only a few places will have rain with a small amount that is almost insignificant. The lowest temperature will decrease, at night and early morning it will be cold. The highest temperature will be 30-33 degrees Celsius, the lowest will be 20-23 degrees Celsius, in the North East 19-20 degrees Celsius.

In the middle of December, the area affected by the southern edge of the continental cold high pressure tongue will be active. Around mid to late week, the low pressure trough with an axis at about 4-7 degrees North latitude will lift its axis to the North with the possibility of a low pressure area appearing in the South China Sea.

It is necessary to guard against the possibility of the low pressure area strengthening into a tropical depression or storm, causing dangerous weather at sea and widespread thunderstorms on land in the region.

The weather in the area has a strong northeast monsoon so there is little rain, chilly at night and early morning. Some days in the early morning there is light fog.

Beware of the low pressure area moving in over the South China Sea causing unseasonal rain with some places experiencing moderate to heavy rain in the area.

In the last week of December, the Southern region is mainly affected by the southern edge of the cold high pressure tongue. The Northeast wind dominates the region with medium to strong intensity.

The weather in the area is generally light rain, chilly at night and early morning. Some days there is light fog in the early morning.
