Phone exploded, 8th grade male student hospitalized

Nghe An – A phone suddenly exploded while charging, forcing an 8th grade student in Do Luong district to be hospitalized.

On the morning of January 2, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Hoang Nhu Tinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Son Commune (Do Luong District, Nghe An Province) said that a phone had just exploded while charging, injuring a student.

The incident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. on January 1, 2025, when B.D.B. (born in 2011, residing in Hiep Hoa hamlet, Hoa Son commune, Do Luong district) was charging his phone when the device suddenly exploded.

The explosion injured B.'s right hand and face.

The victim was then taken by his family to Do Luong District General Hospital for emergency treatment.

At the hospital, doctors promptly treated the patient's initial injuries. However, due to the severity of his injuries, B. was transferred to a provincial hospital for further treatment.
