On the night of June 12, the Hanoi interdisciplinary team inspected the slaughter at the Branch of Factory No. 3 of CP. Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, located in Phu Nghia Industrial Park, Chuong My District. This is the second time in just one week that Hanoi has inspected pig slaughterhouses of CP Company in the area.
The inspection showed that the slaughterhouses were arranged in accordance with technical procedures, ensuring requirements for veterinary hygiene inspection and food safety. slaughter activities are closely monitored by staff from the animal slaughterhousing diagnosis, testing and control station (Hanoi Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine).
The factory has a solid structure, the functional areas are divided separately. The pig slaughter process strictly complies with veterinary hygiene regulations. The slaughter line at the company is an automatic system with a capacity of 2,000 pigs/day.
The slaughterhouse area has a required area, is airy, equipped with a cooling system, fog spraying and modern equipment, ensuring safety and hygiene. The owner of the facility and the person directly involved in the slaughter have been trained and granted a certificate of knowledge of food safety (FS) and complied with regulations on personal hygiene.
At the time of inspection, the company was slaughtering about 600 pigs.
Previously, on June 5, the Hanoi Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine also inspected slaughter at the branch of Factory No. 3 of CP. Vietnam Company. On June 4, this unit inspected compliance with the law in poultry slaughter activities at the Hanoi Meat Processing Factory.
The inspection team concluded: C.P. Company. Chuong My Branch, Hanoi City has fully implemented legal regulations related to pig and poultry slaughter.
Currently, Hanoi has 701 slaughterhouses, of which 150 are under control. The meat output supplied to the market is about 450 tons/day.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dang - Head of the Hanoi Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine - control work at small slaughterhouses still faces many difficulties due to lack of human resources, the veterinary agency lacks the authority to enforce the handling of violations, and there are no regulations on noi bo quarantine, leading to difficulties in tracing the origin of animals after slaughter.
In June 2025, the Hanoi Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine will continue to conduct inspections at 35 slaughterhouses in the city, focusing on the districts: Thanh Tri, Thanh Oai, Chuong My, Phu Xuyen, Thuong Tin, Dan Phuong, Dong Anh, Gia Lam...
