Dong Nai plans to have 55 wards and communes after the arrangement.

On April 22, the Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch on organizing the collection of voters' opinions and holding meetings of People's Councils at all levels on the policy of arranging administrative units.

Accordingly, for the Project to reorganize commune-level administrative units of Dong Nai province in 2025, it is expected to reorganize 55 wards and communes.

Dong Nai is currently a province with 11 administrative units consisting of 2 cities (Bien Hoa city and Long Khanh city), 9 districts including: Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Trang Bom, Thong Nhat, Cam My, Vinh Cuu, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan, Tan Phu and 159 commune and ward-level administrative units.

According to the project to reorganize and reorganize administrative units at all levels and build a model of organizing local government at both levels approved by the Government, Binh Phuoc province and Dong Nai province will merge into a new province called Dong Nai province, the political - administrative center located in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province.
