On April 1, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province informed about 3 projects to upgrade, expand and invest in the construction of provincial routes connecting Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh airport) including: DT 770B road project, DT 773 road, DT 769 road.
Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee requested the Dong Nai Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center, the People's Committees of districts and cities including Long Khanh, Long Thanh, Dinh Quan, Cam My, Xuan Loc, Thong Nhat to urgently update, adjust the planning and speed up the site clearance progress to hand over to the construction unit in time for use when Long Thanh airport comes into operation.
According to the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project to upgrade and expand DT 773 road passing through Xuan Loc, Cam My, and Long Thanh districts, nearly 40km long, is expected to complete the approval of the feasibility study report in 2025.
The project to upgrade and expand DT 769 road through Thong Nhat and Long Thanh districts with a length of nearly 30km is proposing to the Department of Finance to consider reporting to competent authorities to arrange capital in 2025 to organize the selection of consulting contractors to implement construction designs after basic designs.
The DT 770B road project will be newly invested in construction with a length of more than 42km, with the starting point intersecting with DT 763 road in Suoi Nho commune (Dinh Quan district) and the end point intersecting with National Highway 51 in Phuoc Thai commune (Long Thanh district) planned to have a roadway of 60m, with 4-8 lanes. The feasibility study report of this project is expected to be approved in the third quarter of 2025.
3 road projects DT 769, DT 770B and DT 773 with a total investment of more than VND 18,000 billion to connect Long Thanh airport.
According to the direction of the Prime Minister, the Long Thanh airport project must basically be completed in 2025 and put into commercial operation in the first half of 2026.
