Ha Tinh - Ham Nghi Street project extended with a total investment of 575 billion VND is still entangled in site clearance after the delayed progress has had to apply for an extension.

On April 16, the reporter of the Lao Dong Newspaper, the Ham Nghi road project that extends the section near the joint with Highway 1 (bypass) has not been cleared so it has not been constructed.

Meanwhile, more than 1.2 km of Km4+740 - Km5+959 section of the 09XL package of this project has been completed construction from 2024.

Ham Nghi street construction project has a length of 3.3km with the beginning point connecting Highway 1 bypass of Ha Tinh City through Thach Dai commune, the end point connects to the branch of National Highway 8C through Thach Xuan commune.

The project has a total investment of 575 billion VND by the Management Board of the Construction Investment Project of Ha Tinh Province as an investor.

The Center for Land Fund Development and Geopolitical Technology of Ha Tinh Department of Agriculture and Environment is the unit of site clearance. The project has been implemented in November 2022.

On April 16, Mr. Ho Nhat Le - Director of Ha Tinh Land Fund Development and Technical Development Center - said that the remaining obstacle of Ham Nghi Street project has not been liberated.

The reason, according to Mr. Le, must complete the construction of the resettlement area and then relocate people and hand over the ground.

"Currently, it is currently approving the policy of building a resettlement area. The current problem is a part of resettlement households, and for households who do not resettle, it is already done," Le shared.

According to the scope of site clearance (GPMB) approved, Ham Nghi street projects extend affecting land, houses and architectural works of 314 households in Thach Dai commune with a total area of ​​over 21 hectares.

Of which, 137 households were affected by residential land, 177 households were affected by agricultural land.

If only the scope of the main route land clearance (excluding collection road items), the project affects 136 residential land plots, estimated to arrange about 100 resettlement land lots.

Up to now, the agricultural land has completed compensation for 171 households with a total amount of more than 18.7 billion dong corresponding to the recall area of ​​13.3ha and has handed over 100% of the ground to the project construction unit.

The Ham Nghi road project is long progress, which should have been completed in 2024 but due to the clearance problems, the project adjustment to the June 2026 will be completed.
