Nghe An - The charity project " Nuoi em di Nghe An" was reported to have signs of lack of transparency in the management and use of support funds.

In recent days, social networks have seen many opinions from benefactors expressing their frustration about the transparency of the project "Nuoi em in Nghe An". The project was introduced to support boarding meals for students in mountainous areas since 2019, with a contribution of 1.5 to nearly 2 million VND per school year for each student.

According to public information on media channels, the project was initiated by Ms. Do Thi Nga. Ms. Nga introduced herself as Head of the Standing Committee of the National Volunteer Network in the Central region - National Volunteer Center. This has made many people trust and participate in supporting.

However, from October 15, 2025 to now, many benefactors said that they have not been able to contact Ms. Nga to clarify the revenues and expenditures. Outraged by the silence, they sent a petition to the authorities.

The benefactors reported that at Muong Ai, Nam Can, Luong Minh, Nhon Mai, Xa Luong schools... 241 students were adopted by 61 benefactors, with a donation of more than 514 million VND. If calculated over many years, the actual figure is said to be very much larger.

The group of benefactors requested the authorities of Nghe An province to verify and clarify the management and use of the project's funds, and at the same time take measures to protect the legitimate rights of those who contribute, ensuring the reputation of the charity activity.

Regarding the incident, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police said that it had forwarded the complaint to the Criminal Police Department for consideration and settlement according to its authority.
