Weather forecast for the next 24-48 hours, the continental cold high pressure continues to strengthen to the South with stable intensity, then slowly weakens. The equatorial low pressure trough with an axis at about 6-8 degrees North latitude moves to the South and gradually weakens, however, the high-altitude wind convergence gradually decreases in intensity.

Above, the subtropical high pressure has an axis through the Central - South Central region. Northeast winds operate with moderate to strong intensity over the sea area of ​​the Southeast region.

The continental cold high pressure continues to weaken, and around December 18-19, it is likely to strengthen again in the North of our country. The Northeast wind in the Southeast sea area is moderate to strong. Above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis through the Central - South Central region weakens and gradually retreats to the East.

Therefore, in the next 24 hours, the weather in the South will be cloudy, with rain at night, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, locally heavy rain in some places; during the day there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places.

In the next 24 hours, the sea from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ca Mau will have strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9. The sea from Ca Mau - Kien Giang will have northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8. The sea weather will have showers and thunderstorms.
