Within the framework of the Vietnam - Bac Lieu Salt Craft Festival 2025, on the afternoon of March 7, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Lieu (VHTTDL) organized a workshop on "orientation and solutions for developing Bac Lieu salt tourism products".
The conference was attended by Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Tourism Administration; Mr. Ngo Vu Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Tourism Development of Bac Lieu province; representatives of the leaders of the Mekong Delta Tourism Association, travel businesses, tourism consultants...
Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang affirmed that the workshop is an opportunity for Bac Lieu tourism to absorb many important opinions from experts, scientists, businesses... contributing to building and orienting the development of Bac Lieu salt tourism products to have appropriate, innovative, creative approaches, increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of tourism management, business, and development in a sustainable direction, in line with the potential and advantages of the province.
At the workshop, travel businesses and consultants gave presentations on many solutions to most effectively exploit the tourism potential of Bac Lieu, focusing on Bac Lieu salt tourism products.
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Lieu Tran Thi Lan Phuong affirmed that the Department will maximize its role and responsibility to advise the Provincial People's Committee to propose solutions to develop salt tourism products, contributing to enriching and diversifying Bac Lieu tourism products in the coming time; coordinate with relevant units to effectively implement the Project to enhance the value of salt production and processing in the period of 2021 - 2030 in the province; build a model of salt-making experience associated with ecotourism and wind power fields into a chain of eco-tourism products, creating conditions for visitors to enjoy the landscape and experience unique traditional crafts, taking on the role of pilots to deeply understand the profession with national heritage value...
On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Lieu announced Miss Tourism Vietnam Global 2021 Ly Kim Thao as the representative of Bac Lieu tourism image for the period 2024 - 2026; announced the award ceremony of the Bac Lieu Province Tourism souvenir design contest.
