On the morning of September 19, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province said that to ensure safety against storm No. 4, many businesses, cooperatives and booths of the Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotion Centers/Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Centers of the provinces voluntarily ended the display of products at the Festival Trade Fair 2024 ahead of schedule.
The Festival 2024 Trade Fair takes place from September 16 to 22, with the participation of 231 businesses and organizations inside and outside the province with a scale of 227 booths displaying and introducing products.
After the opening ceremony of the fair, many tourists and locals came to visit the booths and shop. In addition, the trade connection activities between businesses and suppliers took place very actively, achieving many expected results.
However, due to the impact of storms and rains being a force majeure situation, it is appropriate to stop displaying products at this time to ensure the safety of people and goods participating in the fair.
On the morning of September 19, in the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 4, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Thua Thien Hue province said that the province has made plans to evacuate and relocate 16,349 households/52,186 people to cope with the storm; the plan to evacuate and relocate to cope with flash floods and landslides is 3,743 households/13,615 people.
In addition, Thua Thien Hue province also reserves 100 tons of rice and 10 tons of instant noodles, ready to respond to storms.
Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue province announces: The Departments of Education and Training, Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers and units under the Department of Education and Training notify all teachers and students to take a day off on September 19 to prevent storms and floods.
