According to the Department of Construction, the cause of the leak was due to the roof of the corridor of the Administrative Center building having some composite roofing panels that were bent, sagging, deformed, damaged surface layer... causing water stagnation.
After maintenance, the waterproofing is not complete. Repairing and overcoming the phenomenon of seepage and leaks is necessary to perform maintenance, maintain the longevity and ensure the technical and aesthetic of the project.
The Department of Construction offers three waterproofing options. In particular, it is proposed to choose the option of dismantling the existing composite roofing panels. Then, replace it with tempered glass with light-blocking film, paint and maintain the entire roof frame structure...
Also according to the Department of Construction, the above plan has the advantage of ensuring the original design idea, without changing the functionality. In addition, this does not affect the structure and bearing capacity of the corridor roof frame and the general structure of the building.
Estimated cost for repairing, waterproofing and leaking the Administrative Center building is nearly 7.9 billion VND from the provincial budget. Of which, the construction cost is more than 6.6 billion VND, the remaining are costs such as project management, construction investment consulting, provisions...
The Department of Construction also proposed that the Provincial People's Committee assign the Lam Dong Province Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board to be the investor of this project.
Lam Dong Provincial Administrative Center Building was started construction in 2009, completed and put into use in April 2015 with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND.
The construction area of the project is 13,000m2 and the total floor area is more than 56,000m2. This is the workplace of all departments and affiliated units of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.
