Currently, many bridges across the Red River in Hanoi prohibit or restrict vehicles from crossing some bridges such as Long Bien and Chuong Duong bridges.
Therefore, the remaining bridges such as Thanh Tri, Vinh Tuy, and Thang Long will be under no small pressure.
According to local residents, some bridges such as Vinh Tuy are currently blocked. However, according to Lao Dong reporters at Thang Long Bridge at nearly 4:00 p.m. on September 11, traffic was still clear.

Previously, on September 10, the Hanoi Department of Transport decided to ban vehicles from crossing Long Bien Bridge in both directions from 3:00 p.m. on September 10.
Regarding traffic diversion plan, vehicles needing to pass Long Bien bridge must travel via the following bridges: Chuong Duong, Thanh Tri, Nhat Tan, Vinh Tuy, Thang Long.
Hanoi Department of Transport announced the adjustment of traffic organization to limit vehicles on Chuong Duong Bridge.
Hanoi Department of Transport said that currently due to the impact of storm No. 3 (storm Yagi), hydroelectric plants are releasing flood water, causing the water level of the Red River to rise, the current to flow rapidly, affecting the infrastructure of the bridge.
To ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles traveling across the bridge, the Department of Transport announced a plan to adjust traffic organization and limit traffic on Chuong Duong Bridge from 8:30 a.m. on September 10.
Accordingly, Hanoi bans passenger cars, contract cars, and tourist cars with more than 9 seats; bans trucks with a load capacity of more than 0.5 tons; buses are allowed to operate on Chuong Duong Bridge. Other bridges are still operating normally.
To ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles traveling across the bridge, the Department of Transport has announced a plan to adjust traffic organization on Duong Bridge.
Accordingly, Hanoi has banned pedestrians and vehicles from traveling in both directions through Duong Bridge (Km9+667), the Hanoi - Dong Dang railway line, Long Bien district and Gia Lam district.
Regarding traffic flow plan: Vehicles needing to travel through Duong Bridge should go in the following directions:

- Ha Huy Tap → Dang Phuc Thong → Provincial Road 179 → Hanoi Expressway → Bac Giang → Phu Dong Bridge → Thanh Tri Bridge and vice versa.- Ha Huy Tap → Dang Phuc Thong → Provincial Road 295 → National Highway 18 → Vo Nguyen Giap → Nhat Tan Bridge or Thang Long Bridge and vice versa.
- Ngo Gia Tu → National Highway 5 → Ly Son → Dong Tru Bridge → Truong Sa → National Highway 3 or Truong Sa → Hoang Sa to go to Nhat Tan Bridge, Thang Long Bridge and vice versa.
- Ngo Gia Tu → National Highway 5 → Ring Road 3 → go to Thanh Tri bridge or Hanoi - Bac Giang highway.
