The Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee has just approved the Project to improve the urban environment of type 2 cities - part of Dak Nong province.
The project is implemented in Gia Nghia city, with the City People's Committee as the investor. This is a group B project, investing in traffic works and urban infrastructure on a level III scale.
The specific goal of the project is to improve the urban environment, complete the technical infrastructure for Thien Nga Lake, including the anti-landslide embankment and traffic roads along the lake.
Build a drainage system to reduce flooding. Improve the landscape and environmental sanitation, adapt to climate change in the center of Gia Nghia city.
The project also aims to ensure security for about 40,000 households and improve the inner-city traffic system. The project also contributes to beautifying a green, clean and beautiful urban area, in line with the national green growth strategy.
In addition, the project also contributes to improving the capacity of management agencies and project implementation to improve project management capacity for authorities and community awareness; enhance supervision and maintenance capacity for local officials.
The total investment of the project is more than 1,499 billion VND. Of which, the cost of site clearance is more than 192 billion VND, the construction cost is nearly 899 billion VND...
According to calculations, the project is expected to affect 204 households, and will also affect about 85,106m2 of land of all kinds that must be recovered, cleared and resettled for eligible households.
Investment capital comes from loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and local counterpart funds. Of which, ADB's loan capital is nearly 1,002 billion VND, the remaining more than 497 billion VND is from the budget of Gia Nghia City People's Committee.
