On November 16, Lao Dong's source said that the People's Committee of Dien Bien province has just issued a decision to dissolve the Dien Bien province's Rehabilitation Fund.
According to the content of Decision No. 2033 signed by Chairman of the People's Committee Le Thanh Do, the Dien Bien Provincial Rehabilitation Fund will be dissolved on November 11, 2024, and at the same time, the decisions on the establishment and recognition of the fund's charter will be revoked.
Within 30 working days, the Dien Bien Provincial Rehabilitation Fund is responsible for handing over the seal and terminating all activities of the fund.
It is known that the Dien Bien Provincial Rehabilitation Fund was established on August 8, 2014 with the goal of supporting funding and mobilizing financial and material contributions from organizations and individuals for the community reintegration work for people who have completed their prison sentences in the province.
During its operation, the fund has raised a certain amount of funding (from the government, police force, and philanthropists) and has supported many specific situations.
Before the dissolution, the Chairman of the Fund Management Board was Mr. Vu A Bang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The fund last amended its charter on June 2, 2023.
