Before the ship sank, 30 passengers and 4 crew members organized a squid fishing trip at night. Fortunately, after jumping into the sea, the rescue team arrived in time, safely rescuing all 34 people to shore safely.

At the same time, in Cam Trung commune (Ha Tinh province), fisherman Tran Dai Viet's fishing boat was also sunk by waves while entering the channel. On board, 3 crew members were also rescued by the authorities and brought to shore safely.
In Co Dam commune, a fishing boat sank, leaving 3 fishermen missing. Currently, 2 people have been rescued and brought to shore safely, and the search for the remaining fishermen is still being carried out.

The storm caused the roof of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Secondary School (Son Giang commune) with 8 classrooms in a 2-storey building to be blown off.
The leader of Son Giang commune said that the damage caused by the storm to Hai Thuong Lan Ong Secondary School is estimated at over 300 million VND. The commune has mobilized forces with the school to overcome the consequences, trying to complete before the time students enrol.
In Huong Xuan commune, thunderstorms and strong tornadoes also caused 19 houses in the villages of Phu Huong, Ban Giang, Thuan Tri... to have their roofs blown off. The local government has mobilized forces, unions, and people to support people to overcome the consequences.


In some other localities, thunderstorms caused many trees to fall, obstructing traffic. During the night, the commune police force and local authorities quickly deployed forces to cut down fallen trees to ensure smooth traffic.
