On May 19, the authorities of Ha Giang province said that they had just discovered and temporarily detained a large number of meat and animal organs of unknown origin.
Initial information, on May 18, at Km7, National Highway 4C from Ha Giang City to Quan Ba District, the Ha Giang Market Management Department coordinated with the Provincial Police to discover a car with license plate 23B - 003.84 driven by N.C.C with suspicious signs and requested to stop for inspection.
At the time of inspection, the authorities discovered 7 foam boxes on the vehicle, inside were meat and animal organs, with a total weight of 450kg.
The driver could not present documents proving the origin as well as quarantine papers according to regulations for the above goods.
The authorities then made a record, temporarily detained the above goods and conducted an investigation and handling according to regulations.
