According to local residents, at around 9:05 a.m. on December 27, a large fire broke out in the A14 apartment building area, alley 120 Hoang Quoc Viet (Hanoi). Local residents said the fire started from a 3rd floor house, and the fire and black smoke spread to the 4th floor.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force quickly deployed forces and vehicles to the scene to put out the fire.
At around 10am the same day, the fire was basically under control. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Authorities are currently working to completely extinguish the fire and investigate the cause.
Notably, the burned area was surrounded by cage-like balconies. This is not the first time that house with cage-like balcony fires have occurred. Regrettable incidents in the past include: the fire in Khuong Ha (Thanh Xuan) in 2023 that killed 56 people; the fire at a house in Tho Quan alley (Kham Thien ward, Dong Da, Hanoi) in 2023 that killed 3 people; or the fire at 207 Dinh Cong Ha (Hoang Mai, Hanoi) that killed 4 people...
Although the fire at apartment building A14, lane 120 Hoang Quoc Viet has not caused any human casualties, it has once again sounded the alarm about the risk of unsafe fires and explosions in apartment buildings and houses with cage-like balconies.
