On the morning of April 29, the Hanoi People's Council voted to approve the investment policy for the Tu Lien Bridge Construction Investment Project (from the intersection of the Tu Lien Bridge approach road with Truong Sa road to the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway).
This is a group A project, preliminary total investment of VND 5,076 billion. Capital from the city budget consists of 50% preliminary total investment; Dong Anh district budget consists of 50% preliminary total investment. Location of projects of communes: Dong Hoi, Mai Lam, Duc Tu, Lien Ha, Dong Anh District, Hanoi City. Project implementation time 2025-2027.
According to the Hanoi People's Committee, in the current period, socio-economic development, specifically development in the direction of urbanization in the area north of the Red River, still faces many difficulties due to the unfavorable transportation system connecting to the center of Hanoi and neighboring residential areas.
Currently, the connection to the two core areas of the city and neighboring areas is mainly through Thang Long Bridge, the old Duong Bridge running along Ngo Gia Tu Street to Chuong Duong Bridge and Long Bien Bridge or through Nhat Tan Bridge and Vo Nguyen Giap Street.
Currently, the city is implementing Tu Lien Bridge project (expected to start construction of 19.5.2025). At the same time, the City People's Committee is also working with Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the route connecting Gia Binh airport with Hanoi capital, which is expected to connect this route to the Tu Lien bridge connection road from the intersection of Tu Lien bridge road to Truong Sa road to Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway.
Accordingly, investing in the construction of a road connecting Tu Lien bridge from the intersection of Tu Lien bridge approach road with Truong Sa road to the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway is extremely necessary.
The project aims to improve the transport infrastructure system in Dong Anh district, serve the travel needs of the people, improve the value of land on both sides of the route, create conditions for effective exploitation of existing land fund, accelerate the process of urbanization. At the same time, the project also connects Truong Sa and Tu Lien bridges with Ring 3 and Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway, thereby connecting to the route connecting Gia Binh airport with Hanoi capital.
