Hanoi officially starts construction of the bridge connecting Tay Ho with Dong Anh

Hanoi - On the morning of May 19, the City People's Committee organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tu Lien Bridge and the road at both ends of the bridge.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the investment in the construction of Tu Lien Bridge and the route from Tu Lien bridge to the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway plays an important role to quickly connect the northern region, the northeast of the Red River, Thai Nguyen province through the Hanoi highway, promote the process of urbanization and population, reduce the load for Chuong Duong, Long Bien, Thang Long, Vinh Tuy and reduce traffic pressure in the core urban area.

At the same time, gradually complete the general planning for the construction of Hanoi Capital, the planning for the development of Hanoi transportation, ensure security and defense for the Capital and develop a modern urban space on both sides of the Red River.

In addition, the Tu Lien Bridge Project is identified as an important project that is paid special attention by the leaders of the Party Central Committee and the Government to be directed to be implemented early and served with the National Exhibition Center and the route from Gia Binh Airport to the center of Hanoi City, contributing to the socio -economic development of the Capital to achieve the growth target of 8% in 2025 and create two -digit growth momentum in the period of 2022.

The Tu Lien Bridge project with a design of a rope with two flat sides, a length of the main span and a height of a large tower, and a cross-leg diagram on a flat surface will create an architectural highlight, after completion in 2027, it will be one of the symbolic bridges of Hanoi City.

According to the project investment policy approved in Resolution No. 10/NQ-HDND dated February 25, 2025, the investment project to build Tu Lien bridge and the road at both ends of the bridge (from the intersection with Nghi Tam street to the intersection with Truong Sa street) was approved, including 4 component projects, including 3 component projects for site clearance and 1 investment project to build Tu Lien bridge and access road.

The total investment of the entire project is about 19,830 billion VND. The total length of the project is about 5.15km, the starting point connects with Nghi Tam Street, the end point connects with Truong Sa Street.

Component projects for site clearance in 3 districts: Tay Ho, Long Bien, Dong Anh (in 7 wards: Quang An, Yen Phu, Tu Lien, Ngoc Thuy, Xuan Canh, Dong Hoi) have a total investment of about 4,332 billion VND. The total area of land acquisition and clearance is about 62.53 hectares with a total expected of about 701 land acquisition cases (412 cases of residential land, 280 cases of agricultural land and land of organizations and public land).

Component project 2: Investing in the construction of Tu Lien Bridge and the two ends of the bridge (from the intersection with Nghi Tam Street to the intersection with Truong Sa street). The investor is the Management Board of the Investment Project Construction of Hanoi Transport Works. The total investment is about VND 15,498 billion. The leading road to Nghi Tam bridge is 48m wide, 60m wide in the east. Investing in the construction of bridges: 43m wide four -cable -stayed bridge (500m main steel beam structure, 185m high tower), Casting bridge, steel bridge; 2 intersections with Nghi Tam and intersections with Truong Sa Street, underground tunnel and technical infrastructure works, summer roads, lighting, architectural lighting, trees ...
