The Tam Trinh road construction investment project was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2012, with a total investment of VND 2,066 billion.
The invested construction route is about 3.5km long, starting point connecting with Minh Khai street, ending point intersecting with Ring Road 3.
The project started in 2016 and was expected to be completed after 3 years, but was delayed due to difficulties in site clearance.
By December 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a decision to adjust the project, increasing the investment capital to VND 3,354 billion, an increase of VND 1,287 billion. At the same time, the project implementation period was also adjusted from 2016-2026.
To implement the project, Hoang Mai district will reclaim land (after adjusting the boundary) of about 54,009 square meters, related to 1,590 households and 20 organizations in the area of 3 wards: Mai Dong, Hoang Van Thu and Yen So.
Up to now, Hoang Mai district has approved all plans of organizations, nearly 400 plans related to households and individuals.
Hoang Mai District Land Fund Development Center and wards have conducted investigation, counting, and verification of time, origin, and land use process for the remaining cases.
Hoang Mai District aims to complete site clearance for the Tam Trinh road construction project in 2024 and complete the project in 2026.
Another important traffic project that Hoang Mai district is focusing on implementing is the project to upgrade and expand Linh Nam road.
The project was approved for investment in 2013 with a length of 3.4km, starting at Tam Trinh intersection and ending at Nguyen Khoi embankment intersection. Part of the route (from Vinh Hung intersection to Nguyen Khoi embankment) is the section of Hanoi Ring Road 2.5.
According to the plan, Linh Nam road will be expanded on the basis of the existing road, with 2 sections with cross-sections of 22.5m and 40m respectively.
By August 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee approved the adjustment of the implementation time of the project to upgrade and expand Linh Nam Street according to the plan, to be completed in 2027.
The reason for the adjustment is due to difficulties and problems in site clearance, leading to the project not ensuring progress.
According to the People's Committee of Hoang Mai district, 829 households and 19 organizations in 4 wards, including Mai Dong, Vinh Hung, Linh Nam and Tran Phu, will have their land recovered with a total area of 98,300 square meters to serve the project.
Currently, the People's Committee of Hoang Mai district has assigned the Land Fund Development Center to organize the selection of a unit to measure and map the site clearance, and coordinate with the People's Committees of the wards to continue to organize the issuance of land recovery notices, investigation and counting.
From October 2024, Hoang Mai district will prepare documents and approve specific land prices for site clearance compensation.
This locality strives to start construction by June 2025 and complete the project by 2027.
The upgrading and expansion of Tam Trinh and Linh Nam roads helps to complete the southern gateway traffic infrastructure, reduce traffic congestion, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Hanoi in general and Hoang Mai district in particular.
