On March 27, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province held a meeting to evaluate the results of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the area.
According to the report at the meeting, on March 5, 2025, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province issued a decision approving the number and funding to support the construction and repair of houses for poor and near-poor households, which is 1,374 houses. Of which, 1,064 houses were newly built (492 poor households, 572 near-poor households); 310 houses were repaired (157 poor households, 153 near-poor households).
However, based on the review and proposals of localities and the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Steering Committee 1056 of Ha Tinh province has decided to adjust the amount of support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households.
Accordingly, the whole province will eliminate 1,410 houses for poor and near-poor households with a total cost of more than 82 billion VND. Of which, the number of newly built houses is 1,013; repaired and upgraded houses are 397 apartments.
To date, the whole province has started construction of 991 houses for poor and near-poor households, reaching 72.1%, of which 111 houses have been completed.
Many localities have good and effective implementation progress such as: Nghi Xuan, Huong Son, Huong Khe, Ky Anh town, Hong Linh town.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people has profound humanitarian significance and is a major policy that the whole country is implementing.
Therefore, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested members of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses; relevant departments, branches, units and localities to clearly assign responsibilities and urge the implementation of removing difficulties and obstacles to speed up progress, determined to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area before May 19, 2025.
