On December 31, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cam Lo commune solemnly organized a memorial service and burial of 4 remains of martyrs who had just been exhumed and gathered in Tan Xuan 1 village, Cam Lo commune, Quang Tri province.
Ms. Le Nguyen Huyen Trang - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Tri province and leaders of Division 968 attended the ceremony.
In front of the spirits of heroic martyrs, cadres, people and armed forces of Cam Lo commune expressed their respect and willingness to follow in the footsteps of previous generations, joining hands to build an increasingly rich and strong homeland.

After the memorial service, 4 martyrs' remains were buried at Cam Lo Martyrs' Cemetery in a sacred and emotional atmosphere.
Previously, from December 16 to December 30, 2025, the Repatriation Team of Martyrs' remains of Division 968 (Military Region 4) searched and exhumed 4 martyrs' remains at the garden of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thuy's family in Tan Xuan 1 village.
The remains were discovered at a depth of about 0.9m, the bones were broken into many small pieces. The artifacts included AK magazines, daggers, belts, army buttons and many small pieces of tanks.
According to initial information from historical witnesses and archival records, in 1968, a fierce battle took place in this area between a company of Regiment 64, Division 320 (Army Corps 3) and US forces. In the battle, 131 officers and soldiers of Regiment 64 bravely sacrificed themselves.
