A series of major projects in Quang Ninh accelerate after Tet holiday

On February 4, Mr. Vu Dai Thang - Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee inspected, encouraged workers and directed the progress of industrial processing and manufacturing projects.

At Song Khoai Industrial Park, Quang Yen Town, the Provincial Party Secretary and the working delegation visited, wished a happy New Year, encouraged staff and workers and inspected the construction progress of Autoliv Vietnam Factory.

The project is invested by Autoliv Group (Sweden) with a total capital of 154 million USD, specializing in manufacturing safety products for cars and motor vehicles. The factory is expected to supply about 10 million products/year, mainly for export. Currently, construction, equipment installation and training of operating workers are being implemented.

According to plan, construction items will be completed in February 2025 and officially put into production from November 2025.

As of February 3, 100% of the staff and workers of Autoliv Vietnam Co., Ltd. and contractors have returned to work. Mr. Vu Dai Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee - praised the efforts of the investor and contractors in the project implementation process and asked the enterprise to continue to speed up the progress and soon put the factory into commercial operation.

The Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee visited Tonly Vietnam Electronic Engineering Co., Ltd. (under TCL Group, Dong Mai Industrial Park, Quang Yen Town). Up to now, 95% of the company's workers (the company has nearly 4,000 employees) have returned to work. The production lines are basically operating stably.

The Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee suggested that in the coming time, Quang Ninh province and TCL Group should study and sign a strategic cooperation agreement to promote investment in large-scale projects in Dong Mai Industrial Park and other localities in the province, making Quang Ninh one of the group's important production centers abroad.

The delegation continued to visit and encourage staff and workers at Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, Viet Hung Industrial Park, Ha Long City.

According to Thanh Cong Group’s report, the factory has so far completed the trial assembly of the first Skoda cars. It is expected that the factory will officially go into commercial operation in the second quarter of 2025. Thanh Cong Group is also planning to invest in additional production lines to serve the production of carriages and auxiliary equipment for the North-South high-speed railway project.

Mr. Vu Dai Thang - Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee emphasized that Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory is one of the key projects, playing a driving role in the province's economic growth in 2025. Quang Ninh Province is committed to continuing to provide maximum support and create favorable conditions for the factory to operate on schedule.

Currently, Quang Ninh province has 1,098 enterprises operating in the processing and manufacturing industry. In the period of 2023-2025, the province aims to attract investment capital of over 2 billion USD/year, creating about 20,000 new jobs/year in the processing and manufacturing industry.
