On December 26, the People's Committee of Hau Giang province issued a Plan to implement the Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve Eco-tourism Area project. The project has a total area of about 2,800 hectares with implementation progress from December 2024 to October 2025.
The scale of the project includes concretizing the tourism development orientations of Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve of the Tourism Development Project of Hau Giang province to 2020, with a vision to 2025, especially the orientation of developing into a National Tourist Area; socio-economic development orientations of Hau Giang province.

At the same time, exploit potential reasonably and effectively; create jobs and increase State budget revenue, ensure effective and sustainable development for Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve and sustainable livelihoods for the community; Provide a basis for organizations and individuals who need to rent the forest environment of Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve to establish eco-tourism investment projects combining forest protection, development and natural resource conservation in accordance with legal regulations.
According to the plan, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Transport, Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve, Phung Hiep District People's Committee and related units to advise and organize the implementation of the plan to ensure quality and efficiency; advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to hold monthly or ad hoc meetings to direct the implementation of the plan's tasks.
The relevant provincial departments, branches and localities are responsible for coordinating and urging the organization to seriously and timely implement and effectively achieve the assigned tasks. During the implementation process, in case of difficulties, obstacles, or beyond their authority, the agencies and units shall report to the Department of Planning and Investment to advise the Provincial People's Committee to promptly adjust and supplement.
