On the evening of April 26, information from Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) said: The Long Thanh airport runway lighting system in Dong Nai province has been officially lit, successfully piloted, and runway lighting is ready to serve standard flights before April 30, 2025 in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction.
The lighting system uses 100% LED technology imported from Europe, meeting the highest technical standards in the field of international aviation. Along with that, Long Thanh airport is also equipped with an ILS/DME accurate landing gear system, helping to guide aircraft to approach and land safely, even in bad weather conditions.
These two systems are synchronously combined to ensure the take-off and landing process takes place safely and with absolute accuracy in all weather conditions, improving the exploitation capacity and stability of the airport.

This is the result of the tireless efforts of the investor, ACV, Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board and the contractor consortium with the mobilization of 1,025 personnel and 243 equipment and machinery, simultaneously deploying 30 construction teams to complete the installation of all equipment, ensuring a stable and safe operating system.
The completion and operation of the modern lighting system is an important technical milestone, affirming ACV's commitment to applying the most advanced technology solutions at Long Thanh airport.
The successful opening of the lighting system is an important step forward, contributing to affirming that the runway has basically met the technical requirements to conduct standard flights according to the plan set before April 30, 2025.
This is a meaningful milestone that has been marked on the Long Thanh airport project site, in the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
