In the past 24 hours, the weather in Lao Cai was generally cloudy, without rain, with intense heat over a wide area during the day, and particularly intense heat appeared in some places.
The meteorological agency assesses that thunderstorms occur due to the influence of the southern edge of the low pressure trough connecting to the hot low pressure area in the West being compressed and gradually moving southward, combined with the high-altitude wind convergence zone gradually becoming stronger in the Northern region.

It is noteworthy that during thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Warning of natural disaster risks due to tornadoes, lightning, hail at level 1.
Functional sectors recommend that people be wary of falling trees, damage to houses and infrastructure works due to storms and tornadoes.

In addition, thunderstorms also reduce visibility, affecting traffic participation and outdoor activities.
