The Na Deo suspension bridge across the Cau River connecting Na Deo hamlet and Na O hamlet, Thanh Thinh commune (Cho Moi, Bac Kan) was built to serve the travel needs between villages in the commune. After a long time of use, due to natural erosion, the bridge has deteriorated, posing a potential risk to the safety of people and vehicles.
According to the reporter's records in early March 2025, the bridge is over 100m long and about 4m wide. Some locations of the steel plate on the suspension bridge surface are now cracked and bent, creating gaps. On both sides of the bridge, the reinforced welds are rough, peeling, and rusted.

Having a house near Na Deo suspension bridge, Ms. Tran Thi Son (Cho Moi) said that the deterioration of the project has been going on for a long time, but it has not been renovated yet.
"Every time I walk on the bridge, the whole bridge shakes and shifts, it's very scary. Many people were afraid to get out and pick up their vehicles to pass. Although the bridge surface has not reached the level of serious deterioration, this situation still makes people worried, especially the elderly and children traveling here in the evening," Ms. Son added.
According to local people, hundreds of people and vehicles pass by every day. On rainy days, the bridge surface is slippery, making it more difficult to move. Especially, in the approaching storm season, when the river water rises and flows rapidly, the bridge shakes strongly, making anyone passing by afraid and anxious.
People hope that the locality will soon have a plan to renovate and repair the suspension bridge so that travel is safe.

On March 8, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Ta Huu Thung - Chairman of Thanh Thinh Commune People's Committee said that Na Deo suspension bridge has existed for nearly 20 years and is currently in a state of disrepair.
"Some steel plates on the bridge surface and the welds on the sides of the wall have peeled off and been damaged. Every year, the locality still has funds for renovation, but only enough to carry out small repairs. Recently, we have also repaired some broken bridge belts" - Mr. Thung said.
According to him, due to the deterioration of the bridge, the locality has included the project in the list of works that need to be repaired, but it has not yet been approved.
While waiting for a solution, people still have to cross the bridge in a worried mood, especially on rainy and windy days. The early repair and reinforcement of the project not only helps ensure safety but also creates more favorable conditions for people's travel and daily activities.
