Hanoi - All stores at Ham Thang building have stopped operating to hand over the site.

According to Lao Dong's records on the afternoon of April 21, shops in the Shark Han building such as Aldo, HaNoi 1930 Bistro, Highlands Coffee, King Cha Ca, Laika cafe simultaneously announced that they would stop receiving customers from today.

Shops have begun to clean up to hand over the site and transport furniture out of the Shark Hamlet. The top floor of the Shark Ham building is being dismantled with the roof and iron frame.

The dismantling and moving of furniture and assets is expected to be completed in the next 2-3 days, before handing over the site.

Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Hong Dung - Chairman of Hang Bac Ward (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) said that currently, all stores in Ham Thang Sharm building have stopped operating.

"Today, they started cleaning up to hand over the site. The ward will support security and order" - Mr. Dung said.

Regarding the time of demolition of the Sharkoseoseose Embankment, Mr. Dung said that he was only the unit supporting security and order, and did not have information about the time limit for handing over the site as well as the time to demolish this building.

According to the H1-1B Urban Zoning Plan, at a scale of 1/2,000 approved by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2021, the land of Ham Thang Hoa building has the function of public land.

It is expected that after demolishing the Shark Dock building, the land will still use public functions. It is expected to arrange an entrance to the basement and the square stage.

A representative of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture said that the Shark Ham building, after being demolished, will help connect the old town, Hoan Kiem Lake and some adjacent streets such as Dinh Liet, Cau Go, creating a complete traffic space, this will be a traffic square, serving the people.

"After being decorated, combined with the surrounding space, Hanoi will have a square of 12,000m2, this is a rare space to serve the people and major events and festivals of the city as well as the country" - a representative of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture shared.
