Dong Nai - Tri An Hydropower Reservoir reduces flood discharge to 770 m3/s to 1,120 m3/s.

According to information from Tri An Hydropower Company, at 8:00 a.m. on November 29, the company reduced the amount of water released to regulate the reservoir to 320 m3/s.

The water flow through the turbine generates electricity from 450 m3/s to 800 m3/s, corresponding to a capacity of 240MW to 400MW, depending on the mobilization method of the National Regulations.

The total water flow discharged downstream is from 770 m3/s to 1,120 m3/s (depending on the mobilization method of the National Regulations).

Depending on weather developments, water flow to the lake, water level of Tri An Hydropower Reservoir, water level downstream at Bien Hoa hydrological station, the company can flexibly regulate the water flow through the spillway.

Previously, the hydrological information of Tri An Hydropower Reservoir at 1:00 p.m. on November 28 said: The water level upstream of the reservoir was 61.4m; the water flow to the reservoir was 730m3/s; the water flow through the spillway was 480 m3/s; the water flow through the power turbine was 453 m3/s.

Tri An Hydropower Plant has 4 generators, with a total designed capacity of 400MW. This is the largest hydropower project in the Southern region, contributing greatly to the national grid, helping to regulate domestic and production water sources, push salinity and regulate floods in downstream areas.
