Currently in Da Bac district there are 2 limestone mines for common construction materials.
A mine in Chuc Son hamlet, Toan Son commune, invested by Hoang Son Energy Construction and Trade Investment Joint Stock Company, was granted mineral exploitation license No. 01 by the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province on January 3, 2018, for a term of 29 years, with an exploitation area of 3 hectares, exploitation reserves of approximately 716 thousand m3, and an annual exploitation capacity of 25 thousand m3.
The second mine in Tay Mang sub-area, Da Bac town, invested by Da Bac Construction Joint Stock Company, was granted Mineral Exploitation License No. 73 by the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province on October 13, 2015, with a term of 10 years. Currently, the quarry is carrying out procedures for auctioning mineral exploitation rights with a total area later increased to 3.1 hectares.

Thereby, helping to promote the development of the local economy, create jobs for thousands of workers, and improve the quality of life for the people.
In recent years, the state management of minerals in general and minerals used as common construction materials in particular in the district has gradually become more systematic. To strengthen management, the district has issued many documents on mine planning, mining locations, granting exploration and exploitation licenses, etc.; every year, the functional sectors have strengthened inspection and supervision of mining activities of common construction materials as well as focused on protecting and preventing illegal mining activities.
To improve the effectiveness of State management in this field, the District People's Committee has directed the relevant agencies to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and towns to review the mining sites with the potential for mineral exploitation to include in the Planning for exploration, exploitation and use of minerals as common construction materials in Hoa Binh province for the period 2014-2019, with a vision to 2024.
Thereby, Da Bac district was supplemented with 7 more earth filling and leveling points, contributing to solving the problem of earth filling - which is a bottleneck in public investment disbursement in many localities in the province and the whole country.
The district has directed localities and functional branches to carry out state management of mineral exploitation activities in general and minerals belonging to the group of common construction materials in particular.
Every year, the People's Committee of Da Bac district establishes a delegation to inspect law enforcement in the field of Natural Resources and Environment in the district.
Most recently, in 2023, the inspection process discovered and handled 3 individuals who exploited sand and gravel from riverbeds without a mining license from the competent licensing authority. The delegation drew up a record with a total administrative fine of 220 million VND. Thereby, bringing mineral exploitation activities in general and minerals belonging to the group of common construction materials increasingly into order.
In the coming time, the district will continue to direct all levels and sectors to improve the capacity and effectiveness of management of mineral activities for common construction materials; strengthen propaganda to raise awareness and responsibility of organizations and individuals participating in the exploitation and use of common construction materials and minerals and the people, creating favorable conditions for management of specialized agencies and government levels...
