On January 17, in Phu Nghia commune, Lac Thuy district, Hoa Binh province, the inauguration ceremony of the Huong Binh cable car line and the groundbreaking ceremony of the Huong Binh Valley project took place.
The Huong Binh cable car line, with a length of nearly 3km and a total investment of VND1,700 billion, connecting Phu Nghia commune (Hoa Binh) and Huong Son commune (Hanoi), was completed on schedule after nearly two years of construction.
With a capacity of 10,000 passengers/day, this cable car line is expected to solve the problem of traffic congestion during the festival season, shortening travel time to spiritual tourist destinations such as Huong Pagoda, Tien Pagoda and Tam Chuc Pagoda.
In addition, the Huong Binh Valley project with a total investment of over VND5,000 billion and an area of over 110 hectares, is expected to become a high-class resort destination, contributing to improving the cultural, economic and social life of the locality.
When completed in 2029, the project will create more jobs, increase budget revenue and form a modern, environmentally friendly eco-tourism complex imbued with the cultural identity of Hoa Binh's ethnic groups.
Notably, the Pacific Group and Thai Binh Tourism Company Limited have donated 500 million VND to each locality in Huong Son commune (Hanoi) and Phu Nghia commune (Hoa Binh) to support households with revolutionary contributions, poor and near-poor households to build solid houses.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province Nguyen Van Toan emphasized the importance of the two projects to the economic, social and tourism development of the province.
Leaders of Hoa Binh province called for close coordination between authorities at all levels, people and investors to ensure the progress and quality of the project, especially completing site clearance in the first quarter of 2025.
The operation of the Huong Binh cable car line and the launch of the Huong Binh Stream Valley project are expected to create a big boost for Hoa Binh tourism.
